Terms & Conditions

Before booking onto a course or buying a gift voucher, please read the following terms & conditions and make sure you are happy with the policies as set out below


1 - Booking

To secure your place on a publicised course, you must email to check availability first. Once a space is allocated, an invoice will be emailed to you. Payment in full is due upon receipt to secure your space. If payment is not received then the space is not secured and may be offered to someone else.

If you have any problems making payment, please let me know immediately.

2 - Comfirmation

Once payment is received, a receipt will be issued - this is your confirmation of a place on the course requested.

Within the 2 weeks prior to the course you will receive joining instructions and directions via email. Please make sure that everyone booked onto the course (where more than one place has been booked) reads and acknowledges the joining instructions as they contain some important health & safety information.


3 - Cancellations

All cancellations are to be made in writing via email.

  • Cancellations made up to 6 weeks in advance will receive a full refund
  • Cancellations made up to 4 weeks in advance will receive 75% refund
  • Cancellations received up to 2 weeks in advance will receive a 50% refund
  • Cancellations made less than 2 weeks in advance will receive no refund

You may send a replacement if you are unable to attend a class by emailing with the details.

Requests to swap to an alternative date will be considered as long as the cancellation period is no less than 4 weeks and space permitting. If no suitable places are available in the schedule, the above cancellation criteria still applies.

In the unlikely event that I have to cancel a course you will be offered a transfer to another date or a full refund. I am not liable for other expenses incurred (such as accommodation or transport) – only the course fee will be refunded.

In the event that a course is cancelled due to insufficient participants, a decision will always be made by me a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the course. It is therefore advisable to take this into account when making hotel or travel bookings. Any cancellation by me after this time would be due to extenuating circumstances and you would be informed via email of any such need to cancel or rearrange.


4 - Gift Vouchers

All gift vouchers have a 6 month expiry date and should be used within that timeframe. It is at my sole discretion to extend the expiry date, upon a written request via email, and only in extenuating circumstances. Please make the recipient aware of these terms and conditions - a paper copy can be requested upon purchase of a voucher.

Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash and hold no monatary value once purchased - they must be used for the purpose they were sold within the time limit written on the voucher, and cannot be exchanged or returned.

Once a space is booked with a gift voucher, any cancellation of the place is subject to the same cancellation criteria specified in 3 above.

Only ONE alternative booking will be accepted, particularly if this is outside the original timeframe of the voucher, and is at my sole discretion and subject to there being space available. Any further requests to cancel or re-schedule may not be possible and the voucher may be forfeited.

Spaces on all courses are limited to max 4 students, so please understand that it may not be possible to book or to swap courses at short notice. I cannot be responsible if a lack of space causes you to forfeit your voucher, due to late booking or cancellation.

In circumstances where a voucher is purchased for 3 or 4 people to attend a private session, a mutually convenient date outside the published schedule will be agreed. Any cancellations will again be subject to the same cancellation criteria specified in 3 above.

 

5 - Collecting Work

All work created on a course will be available for collection within 2 weeks following the end of the course.

People unable to personally collect their work can have it shipped - this will incur a min £10 P&P fee, depending on the size and weight of the items being shipped. All work is packaged to the highest standards and leaves the studio in perfect condition. I cannot be held liable for any breakages in transit. Please be aware that glass is rarely insurable via courier so taking this option is a risk you have to weigh up. Having said that, I always use a reputable local courier who has an excellent track record.

 

6 - Intellectual Property / Copyright

The techniques and information delivered during my courses is for the sole purpose of the participant's personal development. No fused glass art made by me and shown to students in order to explain a technique or provide inspiration, shall be directly copied or re-produced in the class or afterwards, without my prior written permission. No part of the course instruction or materials may be copied or reproduced for the purposes of teaching, without my prior written permission.

 

7 - Your Booking Information

In booking a course or a gift voucher, you agree to your data (name, email and if required for postage, your address) being stored within my email system and my secure online invoicing system, for the purposes of executing the booking and sending course information.

Any information given to me in order to make a course booking or to send goods, will remain confidential. It will not be passed on to a third party and will not become part of a mailing list unless authorised to do so. If you would like to join my mailing list for updates and information you may do so via the website.

Reviews and testimonials may be reproduced for use on publicity material, social media or the website. Your permission will be sought prior to any photography or video images being taken in the studio.
