Throughout the year, I exhibit collections of new work in galleries and at art shows, predominantly in the SE of England. Developing a collection for exhibition allows me the freedom to explore my own creativity and push the boundaries of my practice.
Gallery Collections & Exhibitions
The pursuit of excellence in my craft involves a lot of experimentation in the studio and time spent researching ideas and techniques. I have a wide and varied interest in all forms of kiln-formed glass - my collections contain both 2D wall art and 3D sculpture and vessels. I take inspiration from colours and textures found in my immediate environment, and those we have only been lucky enough to see in images taken through space exploration.
Sometimes my work is designed to capture a memory or a sense of wonder; sometimes it's completely abstract; sometimes it's literal and other times it's wholly based on technique. Often it evolves as the process goes on - this freedom to create is what I love about it!
I am always happy to discuss collaborations and opportunities to bring my work to new audiences. If you are a gallery owner or exhibition coordinator and would like to explore a possible relationship, then please get in touch.
3D sculpture and vessels
Creating 3D objects in glass, typically takes multiple firings and cold-working to create beautiful finishes.
Examples of framed art from two collections - the first based around the planets and the other, sunsets and sky-scapes.
